My Story

Lynne Chun LMHC

Individual & Couples Counseling in Seattle

SPECIALTIES

I specialize in working with those challenged by life transitions, by a shift (large or small) in "seasons" particularly: evolving relationships, moving into lifework and adult status, 12 Step recovery work, health changes in self and others in your life, loss of parents, and creating legacy at any stage of life. Important issues we can address include depression and worry, anger, sadness, stress, decision making, managing conflict, and making choices to increase wellness and balance.

I have always loved stories. A bookworm in my early days, and a thoughtful and patient listener in my work in healthcare.

My interests as an older adult are in the stories of seeking, and change. Those stories are almost always accompanied by puzzles. Why, or how, or when, are big questions or mysteries for all of us.

My counseling work with you will be supportive, encouraging, goal-oriented, and interactive.

I hold a Master's degree in Applied Behavioral Science with a focus in Systems Counseling from the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS) formerly at Bastyr University. I am trained in Lifespan Integration and am a Level II EMDR practitioner.
With over 40 years of clinical experience in the healthcare field, the last 18 in mental health, I have developed the ability to listen deeply with compassion, and inquire with respect and keen insight. This, along with my appreciation of diverse perspectives and love for creative problem solving can uncover hidden resources.
Together we can generate opportunities for you to move towards wellness and increased enjoyment of your life and relationships.

In my free time you’ll find me walking my dog, taking photographs along the way, or at home knitting or reading or watching movies with my 2 cats. I have started a houseplant family to keep me company during this time of isolation because of COVID.
My pronouns are she/her.
